About this category. Everything in this category runs hot. A melting furnace holds glass at 1100-1200 °C for gathering, a glory hole re-heats a piece between shaping steps, and the annealing equipment in the last category brings it back down again without cracking. Read the temperature and power specifications together: a furnace is only useful if your electrical supply, ventilation and floor loading can actually carry it.
